先週の金曜日に無事に２学年を終えることができた。半分趣味と化している生徒に送るDVDも無事に完成し、修了式の日に配布することができた。まあまあ喜んでくれたのではないかと思う。

その後４日間３年生に向けての春期講習を行い、上のレベルのクラスを担当した。本物のセンター試験を用いての実践演習を重ね、今後１年間どう勉強すべきかをみんなに考えてもらえるよう問題を配置した。

その後、新学期早々の実力試験を作り、来年度の高校入試問題も作成に入った。今年葉高校３年生を担任するため、本当は違う先生に入試問題は担当してほしいのだが、１学年では新カリの授業も始まるため、わがままは言えない。この春休み、本当は新学期に向けて猛烈に準備をしたいところなのだが、生徒と向き合わなければいけない時期に入試問題作成に追われているようでは生徒に迷惑がかかる。

そうこうしているうちに、うちの仕事が速い教務部長が１日と言っていた新クラスをもう玄関に張り出した。講習で登校していた生徒たちと少し話した。これから担任する子たちとこれまで担任していた子たち。一度担任したら最後まで面倒みたい気持ちもあるが、あの子たちは私の所有物ではないので、そういう欲は生徒に見えないように頑張っている。３年間一緒にあがって来れただけでも幸せだと思うことにする。初めて３年間ずっと一緒にあがってきた生徒たち。卒業式を最高の日と思えるよう今年１年頑張っていきたい。

A week ago, I managed to close my homeroom class for the 10the grade.  I completed the DVD for my students, which has become my hobby rather than work.  I finished making copies by the last day, so I gave that out to all the members.  I believe they were happy to get it.

From the next day, I had a spring session for four days with advanced students.  I used the real center-exam so that they will learn how to study this year.  

Later, I made a test for the beginning of April, and also I have started making the entrance exam for the next year.  I am in charge of the 12th grade; I really wish someone took over the duty this year.  But teachers of the 9th grade have to start a lesson in a new style (based on the course of study by MEXT). They need time too, so I should be patient this year.  Therefore, I need to do lots of things in advance this Spring break.

While I was doing so, the chief of the chief of the school affairs put the new class member list on the wall of the entrance.  He said it would be on April 1st.  So early.  There were many students taking Spring sessions.  They checked their new homeroom class.  I chatted with them a little.  Some of them are my new students, others are the former members of my homeroom class.  Of course I would like to take care all of them once I am in charge.  But I am trying not to show such emotion.  I can still teach them English.  I am still able to share time with them.  I shall feel happy.  Actually, this my first time to teach the same students for three years.  I will do my best in order to make the gradation day the best day of their high school days.
